Master of Information

Clare Cavell Bogle, my grandmother, was born in 1920. “Clare returned to college in the 1950’s on a part-time basis while raising her family, finally earning her B.A. in English in 1971 and an M.A. in Library Science in 1978, both from Northern Illinois University. She served as a school librarian and English teacher at Malta ISD for 15 years.

In January, 2021 I graduated from the ALA Accredited Master of Information program at Rutgers University with a focus on library and information science. I am interested in public librarianship, especially information literacy, reference services, and evidence-based practices to improve patron experiences and programming. I believe people are strategic and creative information seekers and that librarians help them sharpen their skills.
